PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

Each product is sold subject to its product description which sets out specific details relating to that product. This includes, without limitation, product dimensions, colours, delivery conditions and additional guarantees.

We take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices on this website are accurate. However, errors can occur. If an error is discovered for any product you have ordered, we will inform you and ask you whether you wish to continue with your order or cancel it.

We will treat all your Personal Information as confidential. We reserve the right to use this information as set out below.

We will keep all Personal information on a secure server and we will fully comply with all applicable UK Data Protection and consumer legislation.

MAKING A PURCHASE (STAGES OF THE ORDERING PROCESS)

Making a purchase could not be easier.

Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the basket.

After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details to create your account.

Once completed you will directed to the checkout to confirm your order.

You will be requested to confirm your order allowing you to identify and correct any input errors. You can still change your mind at any of the above stages. Payment is only made when you click to Complete your purchase / Make Payment.

After you submit an order we will give you an Order Reference Number and details of the products you have ordered. We will send you the same details to in an acknowledgement e-mail (This is not an order confirmation or order acceptance)

We will then send an order confirmation email when we start to process your order. (This is not acceptance of your order.)

Acceptance of your order and the completion of a legally binding contract between us will take place when we send you an Order Acceptance e-mail, which will confirm your order and contain details of how we will deliver your products to you. This is unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it in accordance with the cancellation procedure.

 

PAYMENT

Payment details are given at the Order Payment Stage, which can be accessed through your Internet Shopping Barrow.

We use Paypal as a secure payment service provider. Paypal will tell you if your payment details cannot be authorised for any reason and may invite you to pay by another method.

Paypal accepts all major credit and debit cards. Payment is made at the Internet check out, which can be accessed through your Internet Shopping Barrow.

Payment Security

The Paypal area of our site is secure. It guarantees a safe and secure shopping environment. All sensitive information such as credit card details, names and addresses are encrypted. This means that information passed between your computer and our web site cannot be read even in the event it is intercepted by someone else.

At present we only accept payment via the internet or instore only.

All Prices and charges on this site are in UK pounds (£). They include VAT payable, but exclude delivery charges (for details see ‘Delivery’).

The full purchase price will be charged to your card upon placement of your order.

Please note that products, prices and offers in our stores may differ from those featured on this site.

SUBSTITUTE PRODUCTS

In the event of a product being unavailable (for any reason), you will contacted to discuss potential substitute goods. If the substitutes goods are not suitable then a refund will be given. If you agree to the substitute goods, once received if they are deemed unsuitable they will be refunded along with the cost of delivery.

RETURNS POLICY

Cancellations

If you have had your purchases delivered, you are entitled to cancel your purchases at any time either before or up to 8 days after the day of delivery.

To cancel a purchase, please:

1. return the product to one of our stores (please bring your receipt with you and the card you paid with, so that it can be credited);

Your product must be complete, unused and in ‘as new’ condition (i.e. in a resalable condition). It should be returned with the original box, packaging and accessories.

You will receive a full refund, the cancellation is free of charge provided you return the product to a store. If you choose another method of return other than specified, you may bear the costs.

We cannot cancel your purchase when:

1. you return your product to a store without proof of purchase;
2. the goods were made to your specification.
3. perishable goods (for example cut flowers)
4. CD, DVD or other recording media, software if their seal is broken.

 

When you place an order for flowers, should you realise you have made a mistake or change your mind, we are able to amend or cancel your order up to 12 noon on the day before the scheduled delivery date you requested. We regret we are unable to accept amendments or cancellations after this period.

Return of Faulty Goods

If there is a fault with your product within 12 months of delivery, we will normally offer a prompt repair, exchange or refund with proof of purchase.

To return faulty goods, please:

The return of faulty goods does not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear & tear and perishable items (e.g. Flowers etc).

THIS RETURNS POLICY DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Polhill Garden Centre will under no circumstance be liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages including any loss of business, revenue, profits, goodwill, reputation or data in relation to your use of the Website.

We make no warranty that the Website will meet your requirements or will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the Website. We will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material uploaded or transmitted through the Website.

Nothing in the Conditions shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence of Polhill Garden Centre or that of its agents or employees.

SEVERANCE

If any part of this agreement shall be deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, such provision shall be struck out and the remaining provisions shall remain in force.

APPLICABLE LAW

This agreement will be governed by the laws of England. The Website may be used only for lawful purposes and in a lawful manner. When using these websites you agree to comply with all applicable laws, statutes and regulations

60TH ANNIVERSARY SCRATCH CARDS

Eligibility

• Customers who spend over £50 in-store at Polhill Garden Centre are eligible to receive a scratchcard. Scratchcards will be displayed on receipt at £0.

Redemption

• Scratch cards must be presented at the till before the point of payment.
• Prizes cannot be redeemed on transactions that have already been paid for.
• Prizes can only be redeemed up to 31st October 2024.
• Free items are only redeemable with the next purchase.
• Prizes cannot be redeemed online.
• Prizes may only be redeemed by the customer who received the scratchcard.

Prizes

• Buy one get one free on tea or coffee: Redeemable at Novell’s Restaurant or Novell’s Coffee Corner. Can only be redeemed at till point, unavailable for redemption at kiosk or online ordering.
• A free pack of 6 fat balls: Pre-selected item available at the till point. To be redeemed with next purchase.
• 50% off any solar light: Customer must select a solar light from the range. The till will automatically calculate the 50% discount on the highest value solar light purchased.
• 50% off any pair of gloves: Customer must select a pair of gloves from the range. The till will automatically calculate the 50% discount on the highest value pair of gloves purchased. Multi-pack gloves not included.
• 50% off any bird feeder: Customer must select a bird feeder from the range. The till will automatically calculate the 50% discount on the highest value bird feeder purchased.
• 50% off any plant under £50: Customer must select a plant from either the outdoor plant or houseplant range. The till will automatically calculate the 50% discount on the highest value plant worth £50 and under purchased. Maximum discount £25 off.
• £5 off your next shop: Voucher for £5 off the customer’s next purchase.
• £10 off your next shop: Voucher for £10 off the customer’s next purchase.
• £50 off your next shop: Voucher for £50 off the customer’s next purchase.
• £100 off your next shop: Voucher for £100 off the customer’s next purchase.

Additional Terms

• Products won as prizes are non-refundable.
• Prizes do not work in conjunction with other offers.

Voucher Terms

• For vouchers for a £5, £10, £50, or £100 discount, the remaining voucher amount will not carry over if the customer does not spend the full amount of the voucher in their next purchase.

Other

• Polhill Garden Centre reserves the right to modify or cancel the scratch card promotion at any time.
